Option 1— Job Placement

We invite prospective employers to partner with us and present their company's graduate program and entry-level opportunities to our students during class-time.

As part of our dedicated Job Placement Program, we additionally provide our students with resume development and interview guidance throughout the process. Following your company's presentation to students, our Director of Education acts as the conduit between your company contact and the interested students, coaching them through the application and interview process.

This service is free and St Patrick's Institute of Education undertakes to provide the following services as part of the program:

  1. Positions are first fielded to the students, and students given one day to determine whether they have an interest in the position.
  2. Students will then complete their application and forward it to St Patrick's Director of Education.
  3. The Director emails all resumes and letters of application from interested students to the nominated contact person at the company.
  4. The contact person will liaise with the Director of Education to arrange any interviews with students. This is necessary, as students may more than one interview and there needs to be appropriate coordination the student’s timetable.
  5. The Director of Education will assist in the application process of interested students by providing individual feedback to students as required.
  6. Once a decision has been made, the company contact person will notify the Director of Education - who will personally inform any unsuccessful candidates of the outcome. Once this has happened, the Director of Education will then notify the successful candidate.
  7. If the successful candidate wishes to take up the offer made to them by the company, they will then personally call the company's contact person and accept the offer.

Option 2 -Job Listing

This service is also free, and involves inviting companies to place available job descriptions on the official noticeboard at St Patrick's Institute of Education. Jobs should be available to graduates subsequent to the completion of their course, and all correspondence for these positions will take place between interested students and the companies direct.
