SPIE Summer School

Intensive 6-week summer study option for Sydney Metro and Regional NSW students.

Finished school and would like to get your career started as soon as possible? Our new 6-week BSB50215 Diploma of Business and BSB50415 Diploma of Business Administration courses are ideal for students who want the right qualifications to add to their CVs and get their careers kick-started. SPIE Summer School will run from 9 January to 23 February 2017, and an accommodation option is available.

In response to considerable interest, St Patrick's Institute of Education is introducing the SPIE Summer School for the first time in the new year, offering students in the Sydney metro and regional NSW areas the opportunity to complete a BSB50215 Diploma of Business or BSB50415 Diploma of Business Administration in a  6-week condensed format.

Eight units of competency for the respective courses will be taught by our dedicated and industry-qualified trainers, with an emphasis on individual attention to ensure each student reaches their full potential. In addition, there will be a blended learning aspect to the courses where students will be expected to complete some course work and assignments online through the SPIE Learning Portal.

SPIE Summer School will run for 6 weeks from 9 January – 23 February 2017, with classes held on Monday through to Friday at the vibrant SPIE City Campus in the heart of Sydney’s CBD at Level 1, 65 York Street. Cost for each course is $6,000 per student, with payment options available as well as Smart and Skilled Funding available for students based in the Sydney Metro area.

This intensive approach to delivering our SPIE Diploma courses is aimed at helping young adults and school-leavers complete a Diploma qualification in a condensed amount of time, enabling them to start searching for job opportunities as soon as possible in the new year. It’s an ideal pathway for students located in regional areas, who would like to study in a city environment to help prepare them for their careers. No ATAR is required to enrol, and a safe, friendly and nurturing environment is provided for all students as part of the St Patrick’s Institute of Education approach.

A residential option is available for regional NSW students who are seeking accommodation during the 6-week course. St Patrick’s Institute of Education has a partnership agreement with the Australian Catholic University’s Miguel Cordero Residence in Camperdown, just a 10-minute walk to Newtown and the train station. Located at 43 Australia Street in the heart of Sydney in the suburb of Camperdown, the Australian Catholic University’s Miguel Cordero Residence (MCR) started life as a warehouse and has been transformed into a unique student residence.
